Responsibilities:

  • Respond to emergency incidents within the assigned facility, providing timely and effective assistance to those in need.
  • Conduct routine safety and security checks to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Enforce hospital policies and procedures to maintain a safe and secure environment.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and response to emergencies.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and visitors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • One year of experience in general security, military, or other public safety experience.
  • Valid driver's license and adherence to Piedmont's Healthcare Vehicle Safety Program policy 3500.
  • Certified Healthcare Security Officer (IAHSS) or Georgia Peace Officer Standards & Training (P.O.S.T.) certification preferred.
  • Ability to type approximately 30 words per minute and enter data on a computer keyboard preferred.

Additional Requirements:

  • Carry non-lethal weapons such as a Taser CEW and/or a baton.
