Position Summary
The Outpatient Pharmacy Technician role presents an exciting opportunity at MultiCare, where you will assist in both manipulative and non-discretionary functions of pharmacy practice. In this capacity, your organizational skills and attention to detail will be essential for the smooth operation of daily tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in ordering supplies from wholesalers and direct accounts, verifying received items against invoices.
- Store received items and help maintain stock levels, including dating and initialing invoices and/or packing slips upon receipt.
- Enter customer medication and billing information into the computer system.
- Answer and screen telephone calls, forwarding as necessary.
- Perform extemporaneous compounding under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Current Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by the Washington State Department of Health.
- Successful completion of the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Program (preferred).
- Experience in retail pharmacy (retail only).
