We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our pediatric anesthesia team at Nemours Children's Health. As a CRNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality anesthesia care to our young patients, working collaboratively with anesthesiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities- Administer anesthesia to patients as a qualified member of the anesthesia care team, working in collaboration with anesthesiologists and other healthcare professionals.
- Perform individualized pre-anesthetic assessments and evaluations of patients, including review of consultations, history, and physical, and relevant diagnostic studies.
- Select, obtain, order, and administer pre-anesthetic medications and fluids, as well as non-invasive and invasive monitoring modalities for continuous evaluation of the patient's physical status.
- Facilitate emergence and recovery from anesthesia by selecting, obtaining, ordering, and administering medications, fluids, and ventilation support.
- Discharge patients from the post-anesthesia care area and provide post-anesthesia follow-up evaluation and care as appropriate.
- Respond to emergency situations by providing airway management, administration of emergency fluids and medications using basic or advanced cardiac life support techniques.
- Monitor and evaluate quality of patient care and participate in department quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
- Graduate from an accredited Anesthesiology Assistant program or a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA).
- Current Florida Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Licensure.
- Current Certification from the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists, with biannual recertification required.
- AHA BLS, PALS, and ACLS certification.
