Evolent Health is revolutionizing the healthcare industry by leveraging cutting-edge cloud technology. As a Cloud Platform Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing containerization solutions using platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes, with a strong focus on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure Container Apps (ACA).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement containerization solutions using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Collaborate with the software development team to containerize existing applications and deploy them on Azure.
  • Automate the deployment, scaling, and management of containerized workloads on Azure.
  • Maintain and ensure the security of the Azure container orchestration platform.
  • Partner with DevOps in advancing Infra as Code and Config as Code discipline.
  • Partner with SRE in advancing monitoring/observability for container infrastructure.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies in containerization.
  • Document processes and configurations related to containerization efforts.
  • Mentor other team members in microservice architecture and containers orchestration.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience with Azure.
  • Experience effectively collaborating with other engineering groups to design solutions that align to business objectives.
  • Understanding of microservices design patterns, service mesh, and distributed architectures.
  • Proven experience in implementing and managing container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Deep understanding of deployment methodologies for Kubernetes, preferably ArgoCD and Helm.
  • Expertise in some scripting or programming language (preferably PowerShell or Python).
  • Passion and creativity for Automation using tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
  • Experience with other Azure services such as Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, and Azure Service Fabric.
  • Experience leveraging Agile methodology (i.e., Scrumban) to manage project work.
  • Azure Solutions Architect Certification.
  • Kubernetes Administrator Certification is preferred.
  • PostgreSQL and Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR API) experience is preferred.

Technical Requirements:

We require that all employees have the following technical capability at their home: High speed internet over 10 Mbps and, specifically for all call center employees, the ability to plug in directly to the home internet router. These at-home technical requirements are subject to change with any scheduled re-opening of our office locations.

The expected base salary/wage range for this position is $130,000. This position is also eligible for a bonus component that would be dependent on pre-defined performance factors. As part of our total compensation package, Evolent Health is proud to offer comprehensive benefits (including health insurance benefits) to qualifying employees. All compensation determinations are based on the skills and experience required for the position and commensurate with experience of selected individuals, which may vary above and below the stated amounts.
