Rite Aid is seeking a highly experienced Deputy Associate General Counsel, Pharmacy Law to join our team. As a key member of our Legal department, you will serve as a subject matter expert in pharmacy law and regulation, providing advice and counsel to our pharmacy services business areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal advice and support related to pharmacy law and regulation matters in connection with retail pharmacy and related new initiatives across the enterprise.
  • Work directly and independently with pharmacy services business areas to provide advice, counsel, and legal support.
  • Collaborate with compliance, regulatory affairs, and government affairs teams to support business initiatives.
  • Consult with the Deputy General Counsel on management of legal needs and requests for advice from business areas related to pharmacy services.
  • Provide support as needed to the contracting team related to pharmacy-related contracts.
  • Assist in development and amendment of company processes, policies, and procedures related to pharmacy initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for business improvement and support or lead initiatives to implement such improvements.
Requirements:
  • Education: Juris Doctor (Required)
  • Licenses/Certifications: Active license to practice law (as a member in good standing) in at least one, relevant U.S. state (Required)
  • Experience: 10 years of experience in a law firm as an attorney or in-house role advising on pharmacy law and regulations as to retail pharmacy and controlled substances.
Compensation:

$145,150 to $210,470
