Key Responsibilities:


Under the guidance of the Office Manager, Clinical Coordinator, or designated supervisor, and in accordance with the Medical Assistant Group Supervisory Agreement, you will perform a variety of medical assisting tasks within the assigned Medical Office(s) of Southcoast Physicians Group.

In collaboration with primary care providers, nurses, and clinic team members, you will ensure the highest quality of care and treatment for all patients.

Assist healthcare providers with patient care and procedures, facilitating an efficient patient flow through the clinic or medical office.

You may be responsible for communicating with patients via telephone, including relaying test results, scheduling surgeries, and providing appropriate guidance and follow-up under the direction of a designated supervisor.

Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and related software to update and access patient information as necessary, while maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality. Responsibilities may also include providing medical interpretation in a language other than English for the practice office.

Qualifications:
Completion of four years of high school or equivalent, along with specialized training and courses.


National third-party certification, such as AMCA, AAMA, AMT, CCMA (NHA certification), or NCMA (NCCT certification), is required at the time of hire for new employees or by a specified date for current Medical Assistants.

Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program or equivalent medical office experience is required.

BLS certification is also mandatory. Prior experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and/or health-related software is preferred.

One year of experience in medical assistance is preferred.

Fluency in a language other than English and experience in Medical Interpreting is preferred.


Candidates must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 or qualify for an exemption for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying their choice to be exempt from vaccination upon hire.


Compensation:
USD $28.00 /Hr.
