Job Summary

The Surgical Technologist plays a vital role in the Operating Rooms of the Ohio State University Surgery Center, working as an integral member of a team of care providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform technical skills related to intra-operative patient care, including scrubbing in for various surgical procedures.
  • Provide emergency care measures as needed and assist in meeting patients' emotional needs.
  • Follow universal precautions, safe handling guidelines, and infection control standards to ensure a safe and clean environment.
  • Contribute to organizational effectiveness and demonstrate career growth and development.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent with satisfactory completion of a recognized training program for operating room technicians.
  • Previous experience in the Surgical Center Operating Room as a Surgical Technologist is preferred.
