The **Corporate Compliance Investigations Lead** will oversee and direct internal corporate compliance inquiries and associated issues related to cybersecurity and data privacy. This role may encompass allegations of breaches of law, regulation, or policy that significantly affect operational areas within Publix that have established corporate compliance frameworks, with a particular emphasis on the Data Incident Compliance Program. The Corporate Compliance Investigations Lead must exhibit a comprehensive understanding of the laws, regulations, principles, and practices pertinent to internal corporate compliance inquiries. Furthermore, this position requires a solid grasp of technical concepts related to cybersecurity and data privacy.

This position reports to the Senior Manager of Compliance and Ethics Investigations and will act as the primary coordinator for designated corporate compliance cybersecurity and data privacy initiatives. The role will serve as the subject matter expert in managing assigned corporate compliance inquiries for the Compliance Department and relevant stakeholders, including business partners, leaders, and associates. Collaboration with these stakeholders and others is essential to ensure the swift and thorough examination of corporate compliance-related issues.

Year-End Bonus

As a year-end incentive for associates, Publix provides one month's additional pay (pro-rated in the first year) annually, contingent upon continued employment through the bonus issuance date. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Legal Studies, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of 6 years' experience independently managing internal corporate compliance/cybersecurity inquiries; and/or
  • A minimum of 6 years' experience engaging with legal, regulatory, and compliance processes; and/or
  • A minimum of 6 years' experience coordinating internal inquiries and managing investigative documentation.
  • Ability to obtain a Cybersecurity certification within 2 years of the hire date.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies, strategic planning, and continuous quality improvement practices.
  • Familiarity with Chapter Eight of the Federal Sentencing Guidelines and similar regulations governing effective corporate compliance programs.
  • Working knowledge of the criminal justice system and investigative processes.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret large volumes of data.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to negotiate effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Capability to facilitate team development of risk mitigation strategies that safeguard Publix and align with its strategic objectives.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm, initiative, pride in work, and commitment to Publix and its mission.
  • Strong independent judgment and diplomatic skills.
  • Advanced problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Eight (8) years of management-level or decision-making experience in legal, regulatory, or compliance functions; and/or
  • Eight (8) years' experience coordinating internal inquiries and managing investigative documentation.
  • Professional cybersecurity certifications.
  • Understanding of Publix HR policies.
  • Knowledge of regulations from various governmental agencies affecting internal corporate compliance inquiries.
  • Familiarity with general audit principles.
  • Expertise in Excel.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Intermediate knowledge of PowerPoint.
