STEM Educator

We are seeking a highly qualified STEM Instructor to join our team at InsideHigherEd. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching students in required academic courses necessary for the pursuit of practice/employment or transfer to a Bachelor's of Science degree program in a designed field of science.

• Develop and deliver course descriptions, lesson plans, classroom lectures, laboratory work, and field exercises that meet the needs of our students.
• Implement effective teaching techniques to facilitate student active learning, prepare and grade tests and quizzes, develop handouts and other learning aids, and participate in program and curriculum development and outcome assessments.
• Provide one-to-one student supervision and/or counseling, advising, and tutoring to support student success.
• Analyze and document student progress, coordinate and schedule student tutors as appropriate, and participate in student recruitment, retention, and placement efforts.
• Stay current in designated field(s) of science, trades, and technology to ensure the highest quality instruction.
• Establish and maintain linkages with appropriate business and industry partners to enhance student learning opportunities.
• Participate in assigned committees and professional development workshops and conferences to stay up-to-date on best practices in STEM education.

• Masters of Science Degree in a STEM-related field is required.
• At least two years of teaching experience in Higher Education is preferred.
