As a key member of our produce department, you will be responsible for managing and leading a team of produce specialists to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales growth.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Produce Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the produce department, including inventory management, merchandising, and customer service.
- Supervise and train a team of produce specialists to ensure they are providing excellent customer service and meeting sales targets.
- Coordinate with the produce team to ensure that all products are properly received, stored, and displayed to meet customer expectations.
- Monitor and maintain the quality of produce products, including freshness, appearance, and pricing.
- Collaborate with the produce team to develop and implement sales strategies to drive growth and increase customer loyalty.
- Ensure that all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines are followed and maintained in the produce department.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a produce or retail management role.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and train a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to lift, stack, and maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and to stand for long periods of time.
