Education Substitute Custodian

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Custodial Support Assistant to join our team at Belgrade Public Schools. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work in a dynamic environment, providing essential cleaning and maintenance services to our students, teachers, and staff.

About the Role: As a Custodial Support Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our school buildings and grounds. Your duties will include sweeping, mopping, buffing, stripping, and waxing floors, as well as cleaning and disinfecting drinking fountains, locker rooms, and restroom floors and sanitary fixtures. You will also be required to clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and blinds, wash walls and ceilings, woodwork, windows, doors, and sills, remove graffiti, and replace light bulbs.

Responsibilities: The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:

• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of school buildings and grounds
• Clean and disinfect drinking fountains, locker rooms, and restroom floors and sanitary fixtures
• Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and blinds
• Wash walls and ceilings, woodwork, windows, doors, and sills
• Remove graffiti and replace light bulbs
• Perform routine nontechnical maintenance duties with the use of household tools
• Operate and follow routine use guidelines for mechanical equipment

Requirements: To be considered for this role, you must have any combination of training, education, and experience equivalent to graduation from high school. Successful experience in building and cleaning maintenance is desirable but not mandatory. You must also have a Montana Driver's license or be able to obtain one within three months of hire date.
