Job DescriptionThe Occupational Therapist will work directly with students to develop and strengthen skills that promote independence and academic success. You will collaborate with educators and families to create supportive and individualized plans tailored to each student's needs.
- Evaluation and Treatment Planning: Conduct evaluations to identify students' fine motor, sensory, and functional skills needs, and develop individualized treatment plans based on students' IEP goals.
- Direct Services: Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in individual and group settings, focusing on skills such as hand-eye coordination, dexterity, and daily living activities.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student progress, attending IEP meetings and contributing expertise to the development of educational plans.
- Credentials: Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program and valid New York State Occupational Therapist license.
- Experience: Minimum 1+ years occupational therapy experience required, preferably in a school setting.
