Job Summary

Muskegon Community College is seeking qualified candidates for Adjunct Instructors in Early Childhood Education. As an Adjunct Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching assigned courses, facilitating student learning, and promoting student success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach assigned courses, including day, night, and online classes, at the main campus and extension centers.
  • Establish and promote an effective learning environment that maximizes student learning.
  • Prepare and submit reports related to student learning, and grade assignments in a meaningful way.
  • Provide educational assistance to students during regularly scheduled office hours or by appointment.
  • Encourage student opinion survey completion and review summary information to assist with increasing student success.
  • Maintain professional knowledge and expertise, including compliance training.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have a Master's Degree in the discipline or 18 credits in the specific discipline. Prefer teaching experience at the college level and demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations.

Work Environment

This is a part-time position with the ability to travel to all campus locations. The work environment is a normal office setting with little discomfort due to heat, dust, noise, and the like.
