The Vice President of Medical Affairs Therapeutic will provide strategic medical leadership across all CSL products, pipeline and inline. Key Responsibilities- Oversee and direct pipeline TA Medical Directors' activities in developing and executing comprehensive medical plans to product development and Go-to-Market Strategies for all CSL Behring pipeline products
- Oversee development and execution of comprehensive IEGPs, coordination of all evidence generation activities, and development of ISS scope documents across Tas to ensure strategic and high-quality data generation and publications from all types of evidence throughout lifecycle for all CSL Behring pipeline and inline products
- Provide subject matter and medical expertise input into TA strategies ensuring close collaboration with R&D to deliver data and a label to support TPPs and reflect the value required to enable speedy access to patients
- Function as the scientific medical expert internally and externally with national and international stakeholders. Serve as a collaborator and key stakeholder to the Heads of Medical Affairs in the US and International, Global Commercial Development, Global Market Access, Global Clinical R&D, Global, Global Pharmacovigilance and Promotion Review Committee (PRC) on medical aspects of the company's products
- Ensure strong, efficient, and effective Medical Affairs operations and direct the activities of the TAs supporting all CSL products, pipeline and inline, to assure established performance objectives are met
- Ensure both pipeline TA Medical Affairs and Inline Medical expert teams are properly staffed to appropriately serve as an internal scientific expert for all disease states and products. Ensure all personnel are trained and strong in medical, scientific, and regulatory knowledge as well as industry research and trends. Provide final review and approval of scientific communications on company products and therapeutic areas
- MD with 15+ years of pharmaceutical/biotherapeutics industry experience
- 8+ years of Executive Medical Affairs Leadership experience
- Experience building and leading and managing teams in a global organization
- Strong capabilities in medical strategy, evidence generation, and scientific engagement
- Executive presence with ability to communicate complex data persuasively and relate study results and knowledge of therapeutic area to industry-specific applications
