About the Role

Amergis is seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Registered Nurse to join our team in Wyckoff, NJ. As a Psychiatric Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and promoting well-being in a psychiatric facility setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Planning: Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in a psychiatric facility setting.
  • Partnership and Collaboration: Partner with individuals to achieve their recovery goals and provide health promotion and maintenance.
  • Intake and Triage: Conduct intake screening, evaluation, and triage to ensure timely and effective patient care.
  • Case Management: Provide case management services to patients and their families, including teaching self-care activities and administering and monitoring psychobiological treatment regimens.
  • Crisis Intervention: Practice crisis intervention and stabilization techniques to ensure patient safety and well-being.
  • Education and Coordination: Educate patients, families, and communities about mental health and substance use disorders, and coordinate care within interdisciplinary teams.
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure: Current Registered Nurse licensure in-state practicing and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong communication skills, proficiency in the English language, and computer proficiency required.
  • Experience: At least 18 years of age and successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site.
