The Field Operations Supervisor is essential in assisting the District and Customer Service Managers with everyday activities. Core Responsibilities

  1. Operational Oversight:
  • Manage the daily functions of the propane distribution center.
  • Organize delivery timelines and oversee routing to guarantee prompt service.
  • Track and manage stock levels, placing orders as necessary.
  • Ensure that all machinery and vehicles are well-maintained and functional.

Safety and Regulatory Compliance:

  • Guarantee adherence to all relevant federal, state, and local laws concerning propane management and distribution.
  • Establish and uphold safety protocols and practices.
  • Conduct routine safety briefings and training for personnel.
  • Investigate and document any safety-related incidents or breaches.

Staff Management:

  • Oversee, mentor, and assess facility personnel, including drivers, technicians, and administrative staff.
  • Develop and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing for all shifts.
  • Address and resolve employee concerns and disputes.
  • Foster a positive workplace atmosphere and enhance team spirit.

Customer Engagement:

  • Address customer inquiries, complaints, and service requests promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction through effective service and communication.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders.

Financial Oversight:

  • Assist in formulating and managing the budget for the facility.
  • Monitor expenditures to ensure cost-efficient operations.
  • Prepare and review operational reports, providing suggestions for enhancements.

Logistical Management:

  • Coordinate logistics for propane distribution, liaising with suppliers and vendors.
  • Optimize delivery routes to enhance efficiency and minimize costs.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and inventory.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree in business management or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: 3-5 years in propane distribution or a similar industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Certifications: Relevant safety and handling certifications as mandated by law.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and management capabilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficient in logistics and inventory oversight.
    • Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards.
    • Adept at resolving customer service challenges.
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
