As a key member of our hospitalist service, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with our multidisciplinary team, and contributing to the growth and development of our pediatric program.
Key Responsibilities- Provide medical care to newborns and pediatric patients admitted to the hospitalist service
- Attend deliveries and respond to neonatal codes as needed
- Assess patient needs, develop treatment plans, and ensure appropriate follow-up of laboratory data and x-rays
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including discharge summaries and daily notes
- Provide weekend coverage and supervise the care rendered to newborns by pediatric residents and students
- Board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics (ABP)
- New Jersey medical licensure or eligibility for licensure
