Position Overview

The Property Tax Intern will assist and support designated team members in conducting assessments of Real Estate and/or Business Personal Property for our clients, aiming to maximize tax savings and deliver additional state and local tax consulting services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support team members in the assessment review process, including client representation during appeals and hearings with State and Local tax authorities
  • Prepare reports and analyses that support our position with State and Local tax authorities; review and submit regular status updates to clients; draft Letters of Findings for clients
  • Conduct on-site inspections of client properties (facilities and operations)
  • Assist Tax Managers, Directors, and other business development professionals in identifying and developing tailored solutions for new and prospective clients
  • Monitor economic and industry news to identify potential areas of obsolescence
  • Research state and local tax matters
  • Engage in business development initiatives
  • Contribute to business development research

Education and Qualifications
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, research, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize projects effectively
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
