Electrical Distribution Engineer Job Description

Electrical Consultants Inc. is seeking an experienced Distribution Systems Engineer to join our team in various offices across the U.S. The successful candidate will serve as a key member of our design team, responsible for conceptual, preliminary, and final design of overhead and underground distribution facilities ranging in voltage from 4.16 kV to 35 kV.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design overhead distribution systems using PLS CADD, Stakeout, or other distribution design software.
  • Prepare staking sheets and design overhead lines using RUS pole top and other assemblies based on client standards.
  • Assemble bid packages for construction of overhead line designs.
  • Design underground distribution systems, ensuring compliance with NESC and other applicable codes.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need a BSEE or equivalent degree and at least 2 years of direct experience in distribution line design or a combination of experience and education. Excellent communication, organizational, and writing skills are essential, as you will be responsible for client interface and preparation of project design documents.

Salary is commensurate with experience and education.
