Central Market is a specialty grocery store that offers a unique shopping experience. As a Food Demonstrator, you will play a key role in showcasing our products and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist customers with moderate to broad food knowledge
  • Promote sales through ingredient, food preparation, recipe, and product knowledge
  • Set up and man demo or sample stations anywhere in the store
  • Track and record ROI of manned stations
  • Use downtime to face shelves and keep department clean
  • Provide superior, proactive customer service
  • Use suggestive selling techniques to maximize sales
  • Educate customers in recipe suggestions, preparation methods, and cooking techniques for demo products
Requirements:
  • Typically requires 1-3 years of related experience in selling and/or customer service
  • Basic food knowledge and experience
  • Knowledge of pairings and flavor profiles and/or willingness to learn profiles
  • Exhibit interest, knowledge, and ability in food preparation and cooking methods
  • Food safety certification preferred
