Carpenter Journeyman Position Summary

A skilled carpenter with expertise in high-level millwork, including woodwork, casework, and ornamental metalwork, is sought for a challenging role at ISEC.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Installation of AWW, PL, and metal casework, fume hoods, and miscellaneous specialties.
  • Preplanning: tools needed, materials, and installation techniques for efficient and safe execution.

Safety Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to the ISEC Safety Program and Safety Promise.
  • Perform tasks in the safest manner possible, never compromising personal safety or that of coworkers.
  • Report workplace hazards and contribute to their control.
  • Cooperate with the safety program for overall success.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in casework, plastic laminate, and architectural millwork.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Supply personal tools.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Education or Equivalent.
  • 3-5 years experience as a finished carpenter.
  • Union membership where applicable.

Requirements: Workers should be able to physically climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolds, stoop, kneel, and crouch, use hands and arms to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects, see well, and lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
