Position Summary:

At Vail Resorts, exceptional service is at the core of our mission, and our Food and Beverage team plays a crucial role in delivering memorable dining experiences. The Assistant Manager is vital to the restaurant's daily operations, assisting the Restaurant Manager in fostering teamwork, ensuring quality, and maintaining safety standards to provide an outstanding experience for our guests.

Position Specifications:

  • Expected Pay Range: Starting at $28.94, with adjustments based on experience.
  • Shift & Schedule: Full Time / Seasonal
  • Skill Level: Advanced

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all guest needs are met with prompt, friendly, and courteous service.
  • Assist in managing dining operations, including training, scheduling, and directing staff.
  • Evaluate staff performance to provide constructive feedback and guidance, recognizing achievements or implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Support administrative tasks such as hiring, cash management, reservations, purchasing, inventory, and record-keeping; may act as manager in the absence of the Restaurant Manager.
  • Uphold facility standards for food preparation, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Engage in leadership discussions to provide insights on dining operations, training, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's or Culinary degree preferred.
  • ServSafe certification or regional equivalent required.
  • 3-5 years of restaurant experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout shifts, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, holidays, and weekends.
  • Fluency in English is required; bilingual candidates are preferred.

The expected pay range is $28.94. This range reflects the compensation we anticipate for this position, with individual decisions based on various factors.
