Key Responsibilities- Conducts tests on blood samples to ensure proper transfusion of blood and blood products
- Recognizes and resolves discrepancies in blood specimens or laboratory equipment
- Maintains records of transfusions and performs equipment maintenance and quality control
- Responds to customer needs and requests
- Participates in proficiency testing and continuing education programs
This is a part-time, evening position in our Blood Bank department. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of laboratory procedures and be able to work independently.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field
- Certification eligible as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist
- One year of experience in a laboratory setting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
