About the Position

The Head Tennis Coach is a key member of our Tennis Department, responsible for delivering high-quality tennis instruction to customers of all ages and skill levels. This role requires a strong passion for tennis, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement tennis programs for adults and children, including group and private lessons, clinics, and camps.
  • Work closely with the Tennis Manager to grow the tennis program and achieve business objectives.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to member inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and lesson schedules.
  • Utilize our operational software to manage scheduling, billing, and customer data.
  • Assist with marketing and promotional efforts to attract new customers and promote the tennis program.
  • Collaborate with other department members to develop and execute social and competitive tennis events.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in tennis instruction and programming.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Tennis Manager.
Requirements
  • USTA membership and USPTA or USPTR certification as Professional or higher.
  • Minimum of three to four years of college education.
  • Involvement with USTA and local/state tennis organizations.
  • First Aid/CPR training.
  • Proven ability to develop, grow, and market new and innovative tennis programs.
  • Minimum of 3 years teaching experience.
  • College playing experience preferred at NCAA DIV I, II or III level.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work extra hours, weekends, and holidays if needed.
  • Proven track record of accountability and integrity.
