Job Description

We are seeking an Electrical Design Specialist to join our team. As an Electrical Design Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for our simulated training devices. This includes AC and DC power distribution design, I/O distribution design, and interfacing various avionics and trainer equipment through MIL-1553, ARINC-429, Ethernet, and other communication protocols.

You will work closely with our Systems and Mechanical Engineering teams to gather requirements and develop comprehensive electrical designs. Your ability to read vehicle schematics and communicate effectively with internal and external customers will be essential to your success in this role.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of hardware and electrical system design and test processes
  • Experience with A/C and D/C power distribution, grounding, I/O distribution, networking, KVM, Emergency Power Off, Overheat, and Audio electrical designs
  • Demonstrated experience producing manufacturable electrical designs
  • Previous experience working with government customers, preferably presenting and/or supporting requirements reviews, design reviews, and acceptance testing
  • Proficiency in common business software (Microsoft Office - Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Visio)

This position requires the ability to travel to installation sites to install and troubleshoot systems. Additionally, you must be able to pass an initial background check and obtain and maintain an active Department of Defense security clearance.
