Job Title: Critical Care Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Nurse to join our team at CHI Health Good Samaritan. As a Critical Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our PCU unit.

Job Summary

This is a 12-hour shift position with 36 hours guaranteed. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of unit experience and be certified in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. You will work with a team of experienced nurses to provide care to adult patients with a variety of medical conditions, including cardiac, med-surg, dialysis, cancer diagnosis, vascular, sepsis, adult respiratory, stroke, post-stent, post-pacer placement, and renal failure.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care in our PCU unit
  • Work collaboratively with a team of experienced nurses to achieve patient care goals
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Monitor and manage patient vital signs and medical equipment
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Participate in unit-specific orientation and training
Requirements
  • 2 years of unit experience
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
  • Ability to float to Med-Surg or ICU to take PCU acuity patients
