Excavation Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Mainline Excavator to join our team at Kenny Seng Construction. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for excavating line and grade for mainline waterline according to project plans, as well as excavating around existing utilities with precision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Excavate line and grade for mainline waterline according to project plans
• Excavate around existing utilities with precision
• Understand and implement trench depth & grade, sewer, storm drain, and water pipe
• Understand and implement pothole procedure, pipeline & grade compaction
• Knowledge of excavation, trenching, trench boxes & shoring practices
• Understand and implement the proper rigging for all materials being lowered into the trench
• Actively implement company & industry safety policies to ensure a consistently safe working environment for employees, owners, suppliers and the public
• OSHA Certified competent person for trenching & shoring
• Thorough knowledge of equipment maintenance to ensure safe and reliable equipment at all times
• Reading and understanding plans
• Keep crew organized and on task, meeting goals and deadlines

Requirements:

• Must be able to take and follow directions from supervisor
• Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers & supervisors with a positive attitude
• Pass all pre-employment and random drug & alcohol testing
