Key Responsibilities
  • Safety Inspections and Audits: Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.

  • Safety Culture Promotion: Work to instill a safety-first mindset among all employees and contractors on-site through regular communication, training, and reinforcement of safety policies.
  • PPE Management: Ensure that appropriate personal protective equipment is available, in good condition, and used correctly by all personnel.
  • Coordination with Management: Collaborate with USA Safety Specialist and site management to integrate safety into all aspects of operations and address any safety concerns that arise.
  • Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and improve safety practices and procedures to enhance overall safety performance on site.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and HR best practices is strongly desired.
  • Prior forklift experience is a plus.
  • Strong observational and analytical skills are essential.
  • Effective communication and training abilities are required.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills are necessary.
  • Certification in occupational safety, such as OSHA certification, is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed, including evenings and weekends.
  • Prior experience working in a food processing environment is desired.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish language and literacy skills are required.
