Position Overview

GCyber is seeking a Windows System Administrator to enhance the capabilities of the Compartmented Enterprise Services Office (CESO). This initiative aims to evolve the current Secure Web Services (SWS) framework, which facilitates security information sharing across the community, into a more advanced service tailored for the Department of Defense (DoD) and intelligence sectors.

Given the sensitive nature of this role, remote work is not permitted; the selected candidate will be required to work full-time on-site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily operational maintenance, support, and upgrades for hardware, software, and operating systems within a Microsoft Windows Server environment; proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server is essential.
  • Monitor the health, performance, capacity, and availability of systems.
  • Ensure systems are consistently patched and compliant.
  • Assist in the testing and deployment of new systems and services.
  • Provide support for storage solutions and encrypted file storage.
  • Deliver operational and maintenance support for server and desktop software applications.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Possession of an active Top Secret/SCI Clearance, with the ability to obtain a CI/Poly in the future.
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in a Windows server environment (e.g., 2008r2 and 2012r2).
  • DoD 8570 IAT II certification (e.g., Security+, CySA+, CCNA-Security, CND, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP).
  • Experience with the following:
    • Configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of VMware environments.
    • Remote Desktop Services.
    • PowerShell scripting and familiarity with other programming languages such as Python.
    • Implementation of security settings and adherence to commercial best practices, including DISA STIGS.
    • Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP).
    • Group Policy Management (GPO) and application of Local Security Policies.
    • Windows Task Scheduler.
    • Management of Active Directory.
    • Installation and configuration of systems (hardware) and applications (software).
  • Prior experience with DISA and its support to mission partners is preferred.
