Specimen Processor

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Specimen Processor to join our team at LabCorp in Mission Viejo, CA. As a key member of our clinical lab team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy of millions of healthcare tests every month.

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens with precision and accuracy
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis, ensuring all necessary information is accurately recorded
• Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information with high attention to detail
• Perform minor instrumentation maintenance to ensure lab equipment is functioning properly
• Troubleshoot any specimen-related issues in a timely and efficient manner
• Replenish test bench supplies as needed to maintain a smooth workflow
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety and quality standards
• Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested by management

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 1-2 years of experience in a medical or laboratory setting
• Previous experience in a production environment, preferably in a medical or laboratory setting
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to pass a data entry test
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately identify specimens
• Comfortability with handling biological specimens and ability to work in a lab environment
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed and ability to pass a standardized color blindness test
