Summary:
Lee Physician Group is in search of a dedicated Pediatric Nutrition Specialist to enhance our Pediatric Endocrinology team. This role necessitates a Bachelor's degree in Dietetics or Human Nutrition and requires the candidate to be a Registered Dietitian. The selected individual will collaborate closely with our Certified Diabetes Educators, nursing staff, and healthcare providers.

This position entails providing nutritional counseling to a varied demographic of families with children aged from 2 months to 21 years.

The primary focus will be on individuals facing prediabetes, diabetes, insulin resistance, and dyslipidemia. Additionally, cases involving growth restrictions, inadequate weight gain, and malnutrition will be addressed.

Experience in renal nutrition is advantageous, as the role includes managing care for patients with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) and those who have undergone transplants.

Our facility also operates a neonatal development clinic, where infants with poor growth or those classified as overweight may be part of your caseload.

The ideal candidate should possess a passion for inspiring patients and their families, particularly those who may be hesitant to change or face various obstacles, including socioeconomic challenges and unique family dynamics.

Excellent communication skills and a commitment to teamwork with our healthcare providers, nurse practitioners, and registered nurses are essential.

Responsibilities include planning and delivering nutritional interventions tailored to the specific developmental stages and needs of patients, considering factors such as physical growth, motor skills, communication, social interaction, and safety.

This role also involves assisting in the coordination and integration of clinical nutrition services across various departments, committees, and with physicians.

Additionally, the specialist will oversee the nutritional management of renal patients throughout all stages of pre and post-transplant care, encompassing assessment, intervention, and ongoing needs.
