Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Commodity Procurement Specialist III to join our team at IGT. This role will be responsible for managing strategic procurement activities across our Lottery business, delivering year-over-year improvements of essential procurement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Commodity Strategies: Build commodity sourcing strategies that align with our overall business strategy, and oversee their implementation to deliver expected business value.
  • Provide Expertise and Insights: Offer commodity-specific subject matter expertise and insights to internal clients, and provide regular status updates of all projects to leadership.
  • Drive Cost Reduction and Enterprise Consistency: Leverage current and future business requirements, market intelligence, and historical spend to develop innovative commodity strategies that drive cost reduction, enterprise consistency, and business value.
  • Collaborate with Tactical Procurement: Collaborate with tactical procurement teams to plan and execute procurement projects and sourcing activities.
  • Monitor Performance and Communicate Results: Adhere to commodity and procurement metrics and savings targets, monitor performance, and communicate results to stakeholders.
  • Forecast and Direct Procurement Projects: Create a commodity-specific initiative plan that forecasts and directs procurement projects and sourcing activities.
  • Maintain Expertise and Relationships: Maintain expertise in various commodities through relationships with sourcing teams, business units, suppliers, market experts, and global/regional liaisons.
  • Identify Business Opportunities and Provide Insights: Identify business opportunities and provide commodity-related insights and recommendations through published commodity plans and sourcing.
  • Drive Communication and Reporting: Accountable for driving communication and reporting progress and benefits.
  • Ensure Compliance and Risk Management: Work with internal risk and compliance groups to ensure commodity strategies account for relevant laws, regulations, and risk policies.
  • Advocate for Procurement as a Value-Added Function: Act as a change agent and advocate for procurement as a value-added function.
Qualifications
  • Category Management Experience: 3-7 years of category management, procurement, or purchasing experience.
  • Education and Certifications: Bachelor's Degree, MBA, or Technical degree preferred; CPM or CPSM preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities: Innovative thinking, ability to connect ideas, events, and circumstances to find commodity management solutions to business problems or goals; flexible approach to achieving commodity management results in dynamic situations; skilled in change adoption, change management, and resource assessment; energetic and self-motivated; collaborative in ideas and approach in sourcing and working successfully as part of a team; experience influencing others to voluntarily adopt commodity management practices; strong analytical and financial skills; strong verbal and written communication; proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Excel.
