Position Overview:
The Mathematics Department at Carthage College is in search of qualified candidates for a Lecturer role in Mathematics. This position is designed as a multi-year renewable contract, focusing on undergraduate Mathematics education, particularly in foundational courses.

Key Responsibilities:
Successful candidates will be responsible for teaching a variety of courses, including but not limited to:
1. Precalculus
2. Elementary Statistics
3. General Education Quantitative Reasoning Courses

Innovation in course design and teaching methodologies is highly encouraged, as recent faculty initiatives have led to the development of alternative course offerings. A passion for addressing the diverse mathematical needs of students and fostering an inclusive learning environment is essential.

Teaching Load:
The anticipated teaching load is seven to eight four-credit courses annually, with the possibility of one course during an intensive January term. Depending on institutional requirements, a course release for significant additional responsibilities may be available.

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. or M.S. in Mathematics or Statistics, along with a strong dedication to excellence in undergraduate teaching and a commitment to supporting a diverse student body.
