Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform clinical procedures to prepare patients for treatment or research protocol.
  • Assist physicians and other healthcare team members with completion of treatment/protocol.
  • Perform simple, non-invasive patient procedures according to applicable policy and/or protocol.
  • Conduct various clerical and/or lab duties as requested.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Currently certified as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) required.
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Self-directed and self-motivated individual with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform a variety of duties often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.
  • Ability to work independently and recognize the rights and responsibilities of patient confidentiality.
  • Ability to convey empathy and compassion to those experiencing pain, physical or emotional distress and/or grief.
