Job Summary

Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a skilled RF Engineer to provide support to a Department of Defense customer in performing research and development mission.

The engineer will conduct concept and technology research, exploration, development, documentation, analysis, experimentation, adaptation, integration, and transition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and conduct experimentation regarding impacts of radio frequency signals on various materials.
  • Develop, employ, and refine test tool prototypes for signal generation, observation, measurement, and optimization.
  • Summarize significant findings, present, and discuss them with the government customer and technical team.
  • Develop, review, and assess concepts, theories, and research from other sources and provide summaries and recommendations to the government technical team.
  • Identify and/or design, develop or adapt, demonstrate, and evaluate specialized tools for generation, transmission, and measurement of signals and effects of interest.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with 4 or more years of relevant experience; degree must be in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • US Citizen; Currently possessing an active DoD Secret clearance, with possible elevation to Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Proven knowledge and experience with microwave/pulsed power.
  • Proficiently communicate in the English language, both orally and in writing.
  • Competently use MS Office applications.
  • Travel up to 10% to locations within the continental US.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree with 2 or more years of relevant experience; degree must be in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Previous experience within the ARL program office or another government research agency.
  • Extensive experience in the areas of electrical and radio frequency engineering; application design, refinement, or adaptation for military application; and full cycle project support from conception to completion.
