About the Role

HAC Retail is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Stocker. As a Stocker, you will play a critical role in maintaining a well-organized and visually appealing store environment, ensuring that our customers have an exceptional shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and courteous manner, providing top-notch customer service.
• Actively stock, merchandise, and correct product displays to ensure a visually appealing store environment.
• Build and fill displays as needed, maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
• Maintain company standards for perishables and stay up to date on all active safety procedures.
• Transport goods within the department, ensuring efficient and safe movement of products.
• Ensure Health and Safety Codes are met, checking for pricing and expiration dates, and maintaining an organized standard area.
• Perform miscellaneous tasks assigned by supervisors and managers, assisting within other departments as needed to service customers.
• Stay up to date and in congruence with Health and Safety standards, as well as holding a working knowledge of cleaning supplies and various chemicals and machines within the department.
• Understand merchandising labels, warehouse order codes, numbers, reports, printed paper invoices, and order forms.
• Ability to comprehend and provide complex verbal instructions and descriptions concerning store policy and procedures, and usage of equipment.
• Assure the safety of self, customers, and co-workers by understanding and practicing store safety rules and notifying a supervisor of any potential hazard immediately.
• Pick up/remove all broken containers, packing materials/boxes from the sales floor or customers' pathway immediately.
• Understand the operation, safety requirements, and restraints of a baler, case cutter, pallet jack (must be 18 years or older to operate the pallet jack and baler).
• Move damaged/unsalable and 'returnable' products from shelves to the backroom, sorting the materials for return to the damage reclaim center.

Requirements

• Basic Mathematics (Add, subtract, multiply, divide)
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Prior Experience in related field or industry

Physical Demands

• Lift, twist, move, and carry a maximum of 50 lbs., from the floor to shelving, or overhead racks in the store
• Maintain active signage and pricing in all departmental areas
• Care for signs, banners, and debris from daily operations
• Respond to customers, coworkers, and vendor questions and responses promptly and politely
• Proper usage of store phone and intercom systems
