  • Workstation Setup and Maintenance: Set up and maintain assigned kitchen workstations, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are readily available.
  • Supply and Equipment Management: Responsible for the appropriate use of facility supplies and equipment to minimize loss and waste.
  • Food Handling and Storage: Maintain safe food handling procedures at all times, storing food properly and safely, and marking the date and item.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Repair: Report necessary equipment repair and maintenance to management, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition.
  • Work Area Maintenance: Keep work area neat and clean at all times, cleaning and maintaining equipment used in food preparation.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other back-of-house duties as assigned by management, supporting the team in achieving our culinary goals.
Requirements:
  • Culinary Experience: Minimum 1 year experience as a cook in a full-service restaurant, with a passion for food and a strong understanding of culinary techniques.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing responsibilities and communicating clearly with colleagues.
  • Stress Management: Ability to handle stressful situations, maintaining a calm and welcoming demeanor in high-pressure situations.
  • Productivity and Quality: Ability to produce high volumes of work while maintaining quality per Emmy Squared Pizza standards.
  • Scheduling and Availability: Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, and be available to work a variety of shifts.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift/carry items up to 40 lbs. and push/pull items up to 75 lbs., as well as walk/stand for extended periods and perform frequent bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching overhead.
  • Culinary Skills: Must be able to utilize culinary tools (knives, commercial equipment, etc.) and taste/smell.
