Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavioral Health Associate to join our team at Acadia Healthcare. As a Behavioral Health Associate, you will play a vital role in providing patient-centered care and support to individuals with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the well-being and safety of patients, providing a positive and supportive environment.
  • Conduct regular safety checks and ensure supervision is conducted at 15-minute intervals, as required.
  • Document timely and accurate clinical information in patient records.
  • Assist in providing a safe and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and significant others.
  • Interact with patients, observe behaviors, and communicate significant observations to nursing staff.
  • Oversee or assist patients with activities of daily living, including toileting, bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, meals, snacks, hydration, and changing bed linens.
  • May obtain patient vital signs, height, and weight, and document in patient records.
  • Facilitate patient educational-rehabilitative groups, covering topics such as social skills, coping skills, anger management, and independent living skills.
  • Engage patients in activities and interactions designed to encourage achievement of treatment goals.
  • Complete and maintain required documentation, assisting with follow-up and paperwork as required.
  • May provide transportation for patients or coordinate transportation with staff members.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must pass a background check and drug test.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Six months or more experience working with the specific population of the facility.
