Role Summary
This Senior Medical Science Liaison position will be responsible for analyzing, interpreting, and disseminating scientific data, acquiring customer insights, fostering external expert networks, and compliantly connecting customers to advance medical strategy and improve patient outcomes.
The successful candidate will join the US Medical team, reporting directly to the Director, Field Medical, and will be based in one of the following locations: Massachusetts - Virtual, New Jersey - Virtual, or New York - Virtual.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) aligned to individual territory plans and medical strategies.
- Analyze and interpret complex scientific information, communicating it effectively to KOLs/HCPs in a compliant, fair-balanced, and non-misleading manner.
- Support Takeda-sponsored research, facilitating strategically aligned medical collaborative studies and investigator-initiated research processes.
- Cultivate partnership opportunities between KOLs/HCPs and Takeda US Medical.
- Participate in executing medical strategies at medical conferences and internally communicate medical insights acquired through poster/session attendance and KOL/HCP interactions.
- Respond to unsolicited HCP medical information inquiries referred by Medical Information within defined timelines and quality standards.
- Complete all required customer activity documentation, training, expense reporting, and other administrative responsibilities in a timely, accurate, and compliant manner.
Requirements
- A Doctoral degree in life/health sciences (PharmD, MD, PhD, or equivalent) is preferred; a Master's degree in health sciences (MSN, NP, or PA) is the minimum requirement.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a field-based medical science liaison (MSL) in the pharmaceutical industry is required.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), organization, and collaboration skills are necessary.
Estimated Salary Range: $133,000.00 - $209,000.00
The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
