About the RoleWe are seeking a full-time, career-minded Legal Drafter to join our team. This specialized role involves drafting and reviewing sophisticated and customized legal documents within the practice areas of estate planning, business, and estate administration.
Responsibilities- Draft detailed and customized legal documents for attorney review and editing
- Conduct thorough research to ensure documents comply with federal, state, and IRS tax laws
- Review each client's estate information, structure, and asset documentation for accuracy
- Update legal documents based on client needs and objectives
- Maintain accurate records of document history on our internal client management system
- Enter data accurately into applicable documents and/or forms
- Collaborate with team members on client estate matters
- Ensure legal documents articulate client objectives and adhere to attorney recommendations
- Prepare business entities, operating documents, and business audits as part of estate planning and asset protection strategies
- 4+ years of professional experience in writing, editing, legal, finance, or business
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Effective time management and organization to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team, maintain confidentiality, and implement coaching, training, and feedback
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat
- Availability to work onsite Monday to Friday from 8:25 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Competitive pay range: $48,000 – $65,000+ DOE
