Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Classroom Teacher IV to join our team at UMOS. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality education and care to young children in our program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Learning: Plan and implement engaging indoor and outdoor learning environments and experiences that promote children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
  • Assessment and Documentation: Conduct regular assessments and document children's progress, using this information to inform instruction and make data-driven decisions.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Maintain open and effective communication with families, colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
  • Program Implementation: Implement the Creative Curriculum System, UMOS School Readiness Plan, and the Head Start Early Learning Outcome Framework to ensure high-quality programming.
  • Child Safety and Well-being: Ensure a safe and healthy environment for children, adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, with 18 college credit hours in Early Childhood Education.
  • Experience: Preferred teaching experience with children ages 0-5, with a strong background in early childhood education.
  • Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Certifications: Proof of certification in Infant/Child CPR and First Aid, with the ability to register in the State Childcare registry.
