Nurse Career Advancement in Critical Care Setting

Our Critical Care/Innovation Unit explores nursing model redesign to empower RNs to work at the top of their license. The unit's clinical setting provides an optimal teaching and learning environment through collaboration with RN leaders, healthcare team members, and clinical education.
We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Critical Care unit. As an RN in this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional care to patients using our patient-centered care model. You will be supported by a nurturing nursing organization and have the opportunity to uplift your skills and knowledge.
Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care in the Critical Care unit, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients
- Communicate effectively with various healthcare team members, patients, and their families
- Coordinate and delegate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
- Update and manage patient records
- Enter and interpret computerized data/information
- FOLLOW GUIDELINES AND POLICIES ESTABLISHED BY BMC'S NURSING ORGANIZATION
- Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects
Requirements:
- Active or pending Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license or the ability to obtain one
- 1+ years of RN experience preferred
- Certification in basic life support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required in certain units
- Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred), Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years
- Relevant clinical experience and/or specialty, certification required for certain practice areas
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Physical ability to meet job responsibilities
- Basic computer proficiency
- Fluency in another language a plus
