POSITION OVERVIEW

The Clinical Research Nurse plays a vital role in the execution of clinical trials, focusing on immunologic conditions. This position requires a strong foundation in nursing principles and practices, particularly in a research setting.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing with valid state nursing licensure.
  • In-depth understanding of nursing theories, methodologies, and practices related to immunologic diseases.
  • Experience working within a clinical research framework.
  • Familiarity with clinical research data collection methods and preparation of clinical data reports.
  • Knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines.
  • Previous involvement in managing adult and pediatric clinical trials is advantageous.
  • Current CPR certification or eligibility for certification.

This role is integral to a multidisciplinary team at Astrix, collaborating with various healthcare professionals including Staff Clinicians, Nurse Practitioners, Data Managers, Protocol Coordinators, and Patient Care Coordinators. The Research Nurse will be responsible for implementing research protocols, which encompass patient education, quality assurance, and the application of nursing practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implement and manage clinical trial protocols.
  • Educate patients regarding their participation in clinical research.
  • Ensure adherence to quality assurance standards.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team to facilitate the smooth execution of clinical trials.
