Emergency Medical Technician and Security Specialist

Compensation: $19.25

As a vital member of our team, you will:

  • Act as the primary first aid responder until relieved by medical professionals or management.
  • Provide in-house injury management as directed by relevant departments.
  • Assist in determining the appropriate actions for on-the-job injuries.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining and replenishing medical supplies as needed.
  • Responding promptly to all medical emergencies.
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of guests and team members.
  • Quickly addressing emergency situations such as fires, safety hazards, and threats to life or property.
  • Managing undesirable conduct and enforcing hotel policies and laws to ensure safety.
  • Monitoring CCTV for unusual activities and reporting suspicious behavior to the supervisor.
  • Familiarizing yourself with life safety systems, including building layout and emergency equipment locations.
  • Screening individuals entering the premises for purpose and authorization.
  • Receiving, recording, and storing lost and found items.
  • Promoting a secure environment for all guests and employees.
  • Maintaining composure during emergency situations, including bomb threats and medical emergencies.
  • Standing at designated posts as directed by management.
  • Conducting regular patrols of the property to assist guests and secure the premises.
  • Spending the majority of your shift on foot, observing and identifying potential security risks.
  • Exhibiting professionalism and courtesy towards guests and colleagues at all times.
  • Reporting any incidents or issues to the supervisor during your shift.
  • Being vigilant for safety concerns or suspicious activities throughout the property.
  • Using sound judgment and a calm demeanor when addressing conflicts.
  • Taking charge during emergencies and guiding others on the best course of action.
  • Conducting investigations and compiling reports by gathering relevant information.
  • Maintaining communication with customers and employees to ensure optimal service.
  • Demonstrating strong communication skills when interacting with external agencies.

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates must possess current EMT or Paramedic certification and successfully complete all pre-employment assessments. National EMT certification is required, along with the ability to obtain necessary licenses. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is also essential.
