About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Engineer to join our team at CBRE. As a key member of our Engineering and Technical Services function, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our building systems, including plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems.
  • Ensure all systems operate within applicable standards and codes.
  • Develop and implement energy management programs to optimize system efficiency.
  • Assist with the implementation of a preventive maintenance program to extend the life of building machinery and systems.
  • Perform emergency repairs as needed.
  • Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience.
  • Universal CFC certification is preferred.
  • Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions.
  • Prior shift management or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
  • Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
  • Sophisticated math skills.
