As a Pharmacy Technician with Potomac Healthcare Solutions, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacy team in providing high-quality patient care. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to assist with various pharmacy tasks, including dispensing medications, processing prescriptions, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist pharmacists with dispensing medications, including filling new prescriptions and refilling existing ones.
• Process prescriptions, including verifying patient information and ensuring accurate medication dosages.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient prescriptions and medication inventory.
• Assist with quality improvement initiatives, including reviewing expired supplies and monitoring for drug interactions.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and hospital staff, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements:
• One year of experience as a pharmacy technician after graduation.
• Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
• Graduate from a formal pharmacy technician program accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) or a formal pharmacy technician program (i.e., technical, hospital, or retail-based program) a formal medical services training program of the United States Military.
• BLS CPR certification.
• Must be a US Citizen.
