About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Ascension Via Christi. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in providing distributive pharmacy services and technical support to our pharmacists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications
  • Perform specialized duties such as hazardous drug compounding, medication history, nuclear, and Patient Assistance Program (PAP)
  • Refill and maintain automated dispensing system, prepare orders, maintain inventory, and repackage bulk medications
  • Serve as a liaison between pharmacy, patient, and health professionals by providing necessary information
  • Identify and assist with patient medication access, including benefit investigation, prior authorization, and financial assistance
Requirements
  • Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Kansas Board of Pharmacy
  • One or more of the following: Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience
