Job Summary:

The Wine Service Assistant will support the Head Wine Sommelier in delivering exceptional wine service to our guests. This role requires a strong knowledge of wine, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in curating and maintaining an extensive wine list that complements our menu offerings.
  • Provide detailed wine recommendations based on guests' tastes and preferences.
  • Support the sommelier with wine presentation and service at the table.
  • Prepare wine service areas, including setting up glassware and ensuring necessary tools are available.
  • Help with wine decanting, cellar organization, and inventory management.
  • Interact with guests in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Assist with wine service during special events, tastings, and wine dinners.

Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, and navigate stairs or tight spaces in wine cellars.
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a team-oriented approach.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
