Position Overview:
Mercy is in search of a Board-Certified Family Medicine Physician to fill a full-time faculty role within our expanding Family Medicine Residency Program. This opportunity is ideal for those passionate about comprehensive family practice in areas with primary care shortages, as well as those interested in Addiction Medicine, Geriatrics, or Obstetrics/Pregnancy Care.
Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will engage in the teaching and supervision of family medicine residents across both outpatient and inpatient environments. Responsibilities will also include advising residents, instructing medical students, and contributing to curriculum development.

- Integrated Family Medicine Inpatient and Outpatient Care
- Community-based University affiliated residency expanding from 6-6-6 to 8-8-8
- Utilization of System-wide Epic EMR
- Access to a large, established multi-specialty referral network
- Eligibility for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program

- Inpatient call approximately 1 in 8 weeks
- For FMOB physicians, OB call approximately 1 in 5 nights/weekends
Unique Clinic Resources:
- Full-time Embedded Community Health Worker (CHW) for screenings and follow-up services
- Embedded Behavioral Health LCSW with direct referral capabilities to Mercy behavioral health services
- Dedicated LCSW for needs outside of Behavioral Health
- In-house ultrasound services with a sonographer available for OB support
- Programs addressing food insecurity, including Metro Market vouchers
- Food as medicine initiatives in partnership with local organizations
- Monthly Diabetes Nurse Practitioner appointments available
- Participation in the Vaccines for Children Program
