Operating Room Nurse

The Operating Room RN provides direct and indirect patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Responsibilities- Provides direct patient care in the operating room, including preparing patients for surgery, administering medications, and monitoring vital signs.
- Collaborates with the surgical team to ensure a smooth and efficient surgical process.
- Assesses patients' physical and emotional needs, and develops individualized care plans to meet those needs.
- Monitors patients' responses to anesthesia and surgical procedures, and takes appropriate action to ensure patient safety.
- Participates in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure a safe and efficient operating room environment.
- Associate degree in nursing is required; Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Registered Nurse in North Carolina is required (or compact state).
- BLS certification is required.
- Additional certifications as required by department.
- 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
